Installing Ultimate Skyrim
Welcome to Ultimate Skyrim, and thank you for your interest in the project! This page will guide you through the install process.
If you’re unsure about any part of the guide, feel free to ask the Community for support.
Ultimate Skyrim requires Skyrim Classic Edition with all DLC’s, otherwise known as Skyrim Legendary Edition. You can purchase this edition here. (The Special Edition version of Ultimate Skyrimis currently in development; check the News for the latest info.)
Ultimate skyrim with special edition, SSE, am i in for a bad time? I plan to follow the setup video from 2016 to the letter. Unfortunately my friend, thats not going to work, even if requiem worked under SSE (which it doesnt) then the ultimate skyrim mod, also doesnt. 3 points 2 years ago. Snowberry Cottage (for Skyrim Special Edition)This is a small purchasable cottage located in a wooded area in The Pale, a short distance south of Dawnstar. It has a small basement plus storage, a bookshelf, personal safe, alchemy table & enchanter. Interiors fully navmeshed & lighting carefully optimized.

Before we begin
There are a few things you’ll need before we begin. Please ensure that you have:
At least 40gb of free space.
An archive tool, such as 7-Zip or WinRAR.
The latest version of Microsoft’s Visual C++. (You’ll need both the 32-bitand the 64-bit versions.)
No Skyrim mod subscriptions on the Steam Workshop.
A clean, ENGLISH version of Skyrim installed through Steam, as shown here. (Non-English versions unfortunately crash the game.)
We also highly recommend a Nexus Premium membership for automating the download process. This feature is controlled by NexusMods - Ultimate Skyrim is not affiliated.
Step ONE: running the game
The first task is to run Skyrim through Steam, which will prepare your install for Ultimate Skyrim.
Launch “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” from your Steam library.
When the launcher offers to auto-detect your settings, click “OK” and then dismiss the follow-up window. (These settings do not matter, and will be replaced.)
Once the main menu has loaded, select “Quit” to return to desktop.
Running the game generates files that Ultimate Skyrim needs to function. Now it's time to download & install!
Step TWO: download & installation

Next, we’ll download & install Ultimate Skyrim using the Wabbajack modlist installer.
If you encounter any issues with the Wabbajack install, please visit the Wabbajack Discord server (channel: “ultimate-skyrim-support”).
Open the download and then place the “UltSky” folder in the location you’d like for your Ultimate Skyrim install.
It is highly recommended to install Ultimate Skyrim on a fast SSD, on the same drive as Skyrim, and NOT within the “Program Files” folder. Bluestacks sonic 1.Within your “UltSky” folder, navigate to the “installer” folder and then double-click “Wabbajack.exe” to run Wabbajack.
When Wabbajack opens, click “Browse Modlists” and then click the download button on “Ultimate Skyrim”.
(Note: clicking the download button will re-open the guide; this is a safeguard for Wabbajack users who discover Ultimate Skyrim through Wabbajack’s UI.)Click this box to select the installation location, and then select your “content” folder from within the “UltSky” folder.
(Optional) If you have a pre-existing Ultimate Skyrim installation, click this box & manually select your old Downloads folder to utilize any pre-existing downloads. (If this is a new Ultimate Skyrim install, you can skip this step.)
We’ll now begin the Wabbajack installation. Click this button to begin the install, and if you’re asked to accept the Nexus API, click “Accept”.
(Optional) If you are not a Nexus Premium member, this gif will guide you through the manual install. (If you’re a Premium member, you can skip this step.)
When installation completes, click “Install Folder” to open up the install.
Open “Game Folder Files”, and then copy all files within the folder.
Navigate to your root “Skyrim” folder & paste the files you copied.
One of the files you pasted is called “enblocal.ini”. Open the file, and then configure it according to this guide.
Congratulations - Ultimate Skyrim is now successfully installed! Next we'll configure the in-game settings, and then you'll be ready to play.
STEP THREE: in-game configuration
Before you can play, Ultimate Skyrim requires the configuration of several in-game settings. We’ll configure these now.
Navigate to your “content” folder, and double-click “Launch Ultimate Skyrim.bat”.
Select a performance profile within the launcher.
(Optional)Click “Create Desktop Shortcut” to generate a desktop shortcut for the preset you selected. (This will also create a shortcut for the launcher.)
Click “Launch Ultimate Skyrim” to start the game.
From Skyrim’s main menu, start a new game. (Note: Ultimate Skyrim requires a new game, and is not compatible with old saves.)
When the game loads and you see “Open the Mod Configuration Menu to begin your adventure”, press Esc/Start to open the game menu & select “Mod Configuration”.

(Note: It’s highly recommended to open this guide in a second monitor or on your phone for easy side-by-side reference.)
